Many-a-times, unconsciously, we do a lot of damage to our training programmes. There are 12 bad habits that haunt trainers/facilitators. Almost all of these problems can be improved significantly. While training, look for signs of these bad habits and consciously work on them.
- Proverbial “Fig-Leaf” pose
- Excessive floor pacing - back and forth
- Rocking front-to-back or side-to-side, like a pendulum.
- Standing rigidly in one place
- Hands in your pocket
- Playing with your hair (usually in women, however, even male trainers are prone to exhibit this)
- Playing with objects (white board markers, etc.)
- Not looking at the audience or speaking with your head down or bowed
- Frowning
- Locking hands together or twiddling thumbs
- Tapping your fingers
- Pushing up your glasses
